To ensure your adventure begins safely and enjoyably, please follow these essential safety guidelines tailored for new riders.
WARNING - Risk of Death or Serious Injury - Whenever you ride an Antic, you risk death or serious injury from loss of control, collisions and falls. To ride safely, you must read and follow all instructions & warnings in the Owner's Manual.
Wear Protective Gear and Proper Shoes
Always wear an ASTM F1492-08, CPSC , CE EN1078 or DOT certified helmet when riding your Antic. Be sure to attach the chin strap and follow the helmet manufacturer’s instructions for fit, use, and general care.
Always wear shoes that will stay on your feet and grip the pegs. Never ride barefoot or in flip-flops.
You may also wear, gloves, and protective pads. Prioritizing safety gear is key to enjoying your Antic Bike with confidence.
Start in a Controlled Environment
Begin riding in a flat, open area free of traffic, pedestrians, and obstacles. This controlled setting helps you focus on mastering the bike’s unique handling without external distractions.
Familiarize Yourself with the Controls
Take time to learn how to operate the throttle, brakes, and especially the assisted wheelie mode before riding actively. Understanding your bike’s functions reduces surprises and improves riding safety.
Use the Beginner Ride Mode
Select the Beginner ride mode within the mobile app. Change ride modes as your comfort and skill increase.
Pay Attention to your Surroundings
Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates, and sudden surface changes. Avoid streets and surfaces with water, sand, gravel, dirt, leaves, and other debris. Wet weather impairs traction, braking, & visibility and may damage your Antic. Always be cautious when riding near motor vehicles. Ride in designated lanes or paths or as close to the edge of the road as possible in the direction of traffic flow or as directed by local laws. Never weave through traffic. Stop at all stop signs and traffic lights.
Wheelie Mode
Be extremely careful in Onewheel Mode. Do not attempt to wheelie until you have read & understand the Onewheel Mode inside of the Owner's Manual.
Attempt short wheelies only after you feel confident with basic riding. Gradual practice helps you enjoy your Antic Bike’s playful features safely.
Observe Local Laws and Regulations
Follow all local rules regarding where and how electric scooters like the Antic Bike can be used. Compliance helps avoid legal issues and promotes responsible riding within your community.
Perform Pre-Ride Equipment Checks
Before each ride, inspect tires, brakes, and battery to ensure everything is in good working order. Proper maintenance is crucial for safe and reliable rides.
