The Antic Bike offers a unique assisted wheelie mode (aka Onewheel mode) designed to provide an exciting riding experience while maximizing control and stability. This guide will walk you through essential tips and safety precautions to help you master assisted wheelies confidently and responsibly.
Wheelies are not easy and take time to master. Only attempt wheelies in wide open areas with no other vehicles or pedestrians in the vicinity. Start slow, practice short distances and if you ever feel uncomfortable or out of control, end the wheelie and start over. It is much safer to start a new wheelie than it is to try to save one that is not comfortable
WARNING: Always be careful while performing a wheelie & be prepared to end a wheelie at any time. Failure to follow wheelie instructions can result in serious injury or death.
Step-by-Step Guide to Assisted Wheelies
- Ensure wheelie mode is enabled in the mobile app. When Onewheel Mode is switched on, the battery charge level indicator in the Lightbarâ„¢ will turn from white to blue.
- Get in comfortable riding position with both hands on the handlebars.
- Quickly shift bodyweight back & twist the throttle.
- Stay on throttle & bring handlebars towards your chest until Onewheel Mode engages.
- There are two ways to exit Onewheel Mode: press the button near your right thumb or gently tap the brake lever.
Controlling Speed While in Onewheel Mode
- Once Onewheel mode is engaged, ease off the throttle and start to control speed by leaning forward or backwards.
- Shift bodyweight forward to go faster, backward to slow down.
- Practice consistently in safe environments to build muscle memory and improve control.
Controlling Wheelie Angle While in Onewheel Mode
- Once Onewheel Mode is engaged, control wheelie angle with the throttle.
- Twist the throttle forward to engage throttle control.
-
Once engaged, increase throttle for a more upright wheelie. Decrease throttle for a lower wheelie angle.
